Peake Villa Fc 3

Springfield Ramblers FC 0

Peake Villa travelled to Cobh to take on Springfield, who knocked out Peake Villa B in the previous round.
Villa started well and went close in the 11th minute when Darragh Byrne hit the post. Willie Tierney was called into action in the 17th minute when he made a good save.

Alan Leahy came close in the 30th minute with a good header that was also well saved. There wasn't much between the teams and the best chance before half time fell to Keith Cahill, who came close. Half Time 0-0.

Villa came out in the second half and showed some real purpose and were rewarded in the 63rd minute when a Mikey Wade corner was headed to the back of the net by Dale Loughnane. 0-1

Villa were really at it now and in the 73rd minute Mikey Wade scored to make it 0-2. Villa secured the tie in the 85th minute when Jack Ryan Casey capped a fine performance scoring to make it 0-3.

The boys move into the quarter-finals of the Munster Junior Cup.

Next up for the lads is a league game away to Vee Rovers next Sunday. Full Time 0-3.
