The second Year CSPE class 2A are organising a sponsored walk to raise funds for local Down Syndrome charity Meitheal 21. The walk, involving all second year groups on Wednesday, March 8, along a route taking in the Jimmy Doyle Road, will give students a break from class and a chance to get some fresh air and exercise while chatting with friends.
The money collected from the walk and from a raffle, which the second year class are simultaneously running and selling tickets for next week will go to this local charity which helps people with Down Syndrome and their families.
The house on Abbey Street holds exercise classes, therapy sessions and meet-ups and is a huge source of support for families in Tipperary who can access the services they need in this purpose-built space. So well done 2A for all your hard work fundraising for Meitheal 21, a vital resource right on our doorstep.
