Tipperary footballers League clash with Offaly rescheduled due to Liam Kearns funeral

The Round 6 clash between Tipperary and Offaly in Division 3 of the National Football League has been rescheduled following the passing of Offaly manager Liam Kearns late last weekend.

Originally fixed for Saturday March 18th at 6pm in FBD Semple Stadium, the match will now throw in at the earlier time of 2pm in an effort to accommodate players and supporters from both counties who wish to pay their respects to the former Tipperary football boss.

The Kerry man passed away suddenly last Sunday surrounded by his family in what came as a huge shock to his club Austin Stacks and his locality of Clonlara in County Clare where he lived.

Funeral arrangements will see Kearns reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate, Limerick on Wednesday, 15th March, from 4pm to 7pm, while the funeral will arrive at St. Senan’s Church, Clonlara for Requiem Mass on Thursday, 16th March, at 11am.

Burial afterwards in St. Nessan’s Cemetery, Mungret.
