First aid course has been organised for sports clubs in Tipperary

The course is facilitated by the Tipperary Sports Partnership

The Tipperary Sports Partnership is facilitating a First Aid course for sports clubs (Rescue Emergency Care, REC 1).

This course is designed to provide first aid skills to people working or operating in a rural/remote and sports environment.

REC will provide participants with the lifesaving skills, knowledge and confidence to deal with first aid realistic sport settings. The course will cover Health, Safety and Welfare; Principles of First Aid; Vital Signs; Basic Body Organs and Function; Safety; 
Casualty Care; Safe Airway Position; Blocked Airway; Choking; Rescue Breathing; Serious Bleeding and Wound Management;
Heart Conditions; Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CRP) and Scenarios practical.

This training course will be held on Saturday June 17 from 9am-5pm at TUS Tipperary (formerly LIT), Thurles Campus, Nenagh Road, Thurles. 

The fee is €30 plus booking fee 

Tickets can be purchased on www.tipperarysports.ie.

Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis so early booking is advised.
