Nenagh Éire Ógres on their last day
Junior Hurling Leagues: Nenagh Éire Óg Junior Bs lost out to Kiladangan in their final group game of the Junior B League on Saturday evening las;– final score in the game was 2-20 to 1-11.
The Junior A League commences next weekend. We play Kilruane MacDonaghs in our first game on Friday next at 7pm in Nenagh. The other team in our group of three is Toomevara.
Scrap Metal Collection: The club’s annual scrap metal collection takes place on July 6, 7 and 8, posts on social media outline the items that can be dropped off; contact Shane at 087- 63703830 for any queries.
Lotto: Our lotto jackpot has now reached €7,000. The lotto can also be played online through the link on the club website and social media sites or contact any Committee member to sign up. Thank you for your continued support of our lotto.
Membership: There are still a number of membership subscriptions outstanding. Please let Enda Long know (087-2213954) if you have paid in the club, and he will update your Foireann account and is happy to support anyone with any Foireann issues.
Guess the Score Fundraiser: Guess The Score cards have been distributed to all Nenagh Éire Óg underage groups this week. Cards can be returned at your next training session to either the lead coach alternatively a committee member will call to the session to collect cards. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to fund the running of the juvenile club, your support is appreciated.
Éire Ógres: 2023 Éire Ógres proudly sponsored by EBS Nenagh New Mortgages Nenagh held its final session last Saturday morning and what a brilliant morning it was with the kids having tremendous fun followed by goodie bags being distributed to every child, the goodie bags included an exclusive Nenagh Éire Ógres T-shirt and treats. We are very excited to see all the little Ógres stars move to U5 training next Saturday morning at 10am on the club astro facility. Thanks to all the wonderful helpers who came together to make the Ógres camp the most successful programme to date. Thanks to all the parents who helped coach the little Ógres over the past few weeks, we look forward to all of these parents continue to stay involved and help out on the coaching front with the U5s.
Nenagh Éire Óg Gaelic Games Youth Academy: The 2023 Nenagh Éire Óg Gaelic Games Youth Academy sponsored by Albany Home Decor Nenagh and A Sportsmans Dream is underway and welcoming new boys to join in and give hurling and football a try. Contact club social media with any queries.
Cúl Camp: Cúl Camp for this summer is now taking enrolments, go to https://www. kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie/ booking to secure a place for your child.
Under 7: Training continues at 10am on Saturdays at the club grounds. All new boys are very welcome to come along and give it a try; contact Erica on 086-8774496.
Under 9: The U9 boys played Burgess in a hurling blitz on Monday evening last in Kilcolman. Both teams did great and thanks to Burgess for hosting. The boys also played a Go Games hurling blitz in Roscrea on Friday evening with over 40 teams taking place in what proved to be a highly enjoyable evening. Training continues on Tuesdays evenings from 6pm-7.15pm and Saturday mornings. We love to see new faces coming along, boys born in 2014/15 are very welcome to come and give it a try; contact Alan on 087-7518789.
Under 11: Under 11 boys played teams from Moneygall and Ahane on Sunday morning last. Some brilliant hurling on display, thanks to both clubs for travelling and providing worthy opposition. Tuesday evening training for hurling at 6pm followed by football at 6.45. We will also have hurling training on Friday at 6pm. All new boys are very welcome to come along and give it a try; contact Cathal on 086-0806460.
Under 13: Upcoming challenge games against Dúrlas Óg and Burgess. Training on Tuesday and Friday (unless there is a match). New players always welcome; contact Niall on 087-4086439.
Under 15: Hurling training this week is on Tuesday at 6.30pm, Thursday at 6:30pm and Saturday at 3pm.
