Despite great start Dylan Slevin goes down to the competitive Daryl Gurney

Tipperary darts player Dylan Slevin is learning as he goes at the 2023 European Darts Grand Prix. 

Things didn't go according to plan though against Daryl Gurney, as the duo took on each other for the fourth time this season despite the Irishman's fledgling Tour Card status.

The Borrisokane man took on Gurney and came close to causing an upset against the Derry native Gurney.

Dylan started will and built up a 2-0 lead but then the momentum changed in the tie and Gurney brought it back to level it at 3-3 before pushing on to secure a 6-3 win.

The Derry darts star now goes on in the tournament and competes once more today.
