Bumper attendance expected at summer barbecue race evening in Clonmel

Powerstown Park in Clonmel will host its annual Summer Barbecue Race meeting this evening, Friday

A large attendance is expected at Clonmel Races this evening for the annual Summer Barbecue Race meeting.

The event is always one of the highlights of the annual social calendar, and with the good weather set to continue another very enjoyable evening is on the cards at Powerstown Park.

The National Hunt races are sponsored by Bulmers and the first of six races, the Powerstown Park Beginners' Chase, goes to post at 5.40pm.

The last race, the Clonmel Show Sunday July 2nd Handicap Chase is off at 8.30.

After racing, there will be music in the Club Stand bar with the group Legends.
