Dylan Slevin comes up just short but the Borrisokane star is learning all the time on tour

Con Sean Darts Tournament takes place this Saturday

Dylan Slevin is competing on the world stage

Tipperary darts player Dylan Slevin is on a steep learning curve and came up short against Damon Heta in the ProTour title tussle in Hildesheim which is located just outside the large German city of Hanover.

The Borrisokane star, who is ranked in the top 100 worldwide, is still finding his feet on the tough European circuit and will no doubt learn from recent experience.

On Monday last in Germany he was paired with the Australian native Heta, in the last 128 of the Players Championship 13.

‘The Heat’ as Heta is known as on the circuit, is a highly ranked international star and he used all his experience to the full to ensure a 6-1 victory against the Tipperary native.

Heta, who is currently ranked at 13th in the world, went on a run in the competition until he was eventually knocked out by Gary Anderson at the penultimate stage.

The following day in the Players Championship 14 over the best of 11 legs, the 21-year-old Slevin just came out the wrong side of a 6-4 bout with English darts hotshot Bradley Brooks who is ranked at 77th in the world.

The focus remains on ensuring progress is found across the season for the young Irish star.
