Ever dreamed of joining the circus? Ever wanted to learn how to juggle, hula hoop and spin plates? Seventeen community groups and schools from Cashel and the surrounding area did just this during Fidget Feet’s 3-week residency this June, participating in fun-filled circus workshops for all ages and abilities.

This September Fidget Feet's spectacular and award-winning show House! will be coming to Cashel as part of Cashel Arts Festival. See https://fidgetfeet.com/project/house to get an idea of what a treat lies in store! As well as twelve outdoor shows in three counties this Autumn, Fidget Feet have been busy over the past few months with the House! workshops. House! is an intergenerational community project, bringing together young and older people in a programme of workshops focusing on the arts and Bingo.

“The workshops with the children were fantastic. The children loved it and just wanted more. The teachers were raving about it and took part fully,” says Mary Andrews, principal of St John the Baptist Girls’ Primary School, Cashel.

Aerial Taster days held over three Saturdays during the residency were a resounding success with participants trying out silks and trapeze work as well as ground-based circus skills.

Participants were enthusiastic about the workshops in Cashel in their feedback, saying:

"There was lots of laughter throughout the workshop and they all left really happy."

"Participating in this workshop made me feel very motivated and full of energy, ready for the day."

"It was fantastic, great fun and a great workout and I learned some new skills."

"An excellent workshop, very inclusive and supportive for all our children here...the pace of the activities and the appealing equipment was very motivating for all."

"Loved every minute of it, felt so good after all the fun we had."

Fidget Feet are now calling on local community groups and performers to take part in the live shows as part of Cashel Arts Festival on Saturday, 16th and Sunday, 17th September. Email engage@fidgetfeet.com for further information or go to cashelartsfest.com for tickets.

Chantal McCormick, Creative Director and CEO of Fidget Feet says: "Fidget Feet are delighted to be celebrating their 25th year this year. When we first came to Ireland, Tipperary Arts Office was one of the first arts offices to support us. We would come and teach workshops offering aerial and get the community involved in our show and then we would perform our own show. So, we are very happy to continue this level of engagement with the community supported by Tipperary Arts Office as part of our show House! 25 years later. We are really looking forward to the Tipperary community joining us as part of this year's House! shows. Fidget Feet love to change people's ideas of what they are capable of doing while bringing them into the open-hearted Fidget Feet family."

Fidget Feet are inviting you to perform for your local community, with your community, celebrating community – so come join the fun and wow the crowd!
