Clonmel AC's  racewalking athletes were out in force on the track also last weekend.

Ivy Rhatigan Thompson finished her race in sixth place, pushing out a flawless performance and a wonderful time of 10.53 for 2,000m. Ivy battled hard with Ireland’s finest, of which she is one.

Niamh Clarke was like she always is, friendly and calm on the start line, with a game plan in mind that she excuted to perfection. Niamh didn’t get into the medals this time, but she battled hard against girls that are seasoned performers. Niamh had a 15 second PB and amazingly was 90 seconds faster in 2023 compared to her 2022 time.

That’s the type of progress every coach plots and dreams of for their athlete and Aaron and Frank have worked hard with Niamh that allowed for this progress.
