Nenagh Éire Óg’s Sam O’Farrell in action against Drom & Inch

Senior Hurling: Nenagh Éire Óg senior hurlers lost out by two points to Drom and Inch in Round One of the Co Championship last weekend. The score was 2-19 to 1-20 with Tommy Heffernan getting our goal late on in the game. We now play JK Brackens in Round Two. This game is due to be played on the weekend of August 12 / 13.

Junior Hurling: Our Junior As will play Toomevara in the fifth and final round of the Championship on Friday, August 4, at 7.30pm in Cloughjordan.

U19 Hurling: Well done to our U19s who defeated Borrisoleigh in Round 3 of the U19A championship last Wednesday evening on a scoreline of 4-19 to 2-14, our goals coming from Taurai Shayanewako, Ben Connolly, Zac Keller and Sam O’Farrell. They were due to play Roscrea in Round 4 this Wednesday in MacDonagh Park.

Tipperary Draw: The 2023/24 Tipperary Club’s draw was launched recently and our promoters will be contacting all existing members in the coming weeks. Our thanks to everyone who has supported this draw in the past and we look forward to your support in the new draw. We are always looking for new members; Contact Catherine Kennedy at 086-1996643 or any club officer.

Lotto: Our lotto jackpot has now reached €8,000. Thank you for your continued support.

Summer Camp: The 2023 Nenagh Éire Óg Summer Camp will run from August 15 to 17 from 10am to 1pm, €40 per child; Contact Niall on 087-4086439 to enrol.

Under 5: Training is on Saturdays at 10am; Contact John on 087-1365053 to join up.

Under 7: The Under 7 boys hosted Ballina on Saturday morning. Great hurling by both sides and plenty of fun. Thanks to Michael Gilmartin for the post-match ice-creams. Training continues at 10am on Saturdays. Midweek training is on Wednesday from 6pm to 7pm. All new boys are very welcome to come along and give it a try; Contact Erica on 086-8774496.

Under 9: The Under 9 boys will take part in the county hurling blitz this coming week. Training continues Tuesdays 6pm to 7.15pm and Saturdays 10am to 11.15am. We love to see new faces coming along, boys born in 2014/15 are very welcome to come and give it a try; Contact Alan on 087-7518789.

Under 11: Our Under 11 footballers were out in action in the Gaelic Grounds Limerick on Saturday morning last taking on Éire Óg Ennis, Monaleen and Dromcolloger / Broadford. A great morning was had by all the boys. A big thanks to Limerick senior footballer Peter Nash who took the boys on a stadium tour and answered questions from the boys. Peter was very generous with his time and gave the boys lots of great tips on how to prepare and be the best they can be on the GAA field. On Monday evening our Under 11 hurlers will play Toomevara in our next round of North Tipperary hurling fixtures in MacDonagh Park. Next Saturday morning we travel to Borris-Ileigh for round 4 of fixtures. Training continues on Tuesdays at 6pm for both hurling and football and then on Fridays at 6pm for hurling unless we have a match. All new boys are very welcome to come along and give it a try; Contact Cathal on 086-0806460.

Under 13: Our Under 13 boys played a challenge against Monaleen in Limerick this week. Thanks to Monaleen for hosting us. This week all three teams are out in match action with the C team playing Borrisokane away on Monday at 7pm, the D team playing Roscrea away on Tuesday at 7pm, and the A team playing Roscrea away on Tuesday at 8pm. Training is Wednesday at 7pm and Sunday at 11am unless we have a match. New players always welcome; contact Niall on 087-4086439.

Under 15: Our Under 15 boys played Borris-Ileigh during the week, after a thrilling match the boys came away with a draw.
The boys play Newport next in Newport on Thursday evening at 7pm. Training is Tuesday at 7.15.
