Change of Stand for patrons next Sunday in the Stadium in Thurles

The Kinane Stand - at the Bohernanave Church side of the ground- will be the only stand open next Sunday

Support appreciated for Tipperary's national league double date at Semple Stadium

Semple Stadium, Thurles.

The usual, familiar trek to FBD Semple Stadium will have to be changed next Sunday for patrons attending the double header in the famed field.

Usually those attending go to the Ryan Stand - commonly called the New Stand - for club games but next Sunday the opposite is the case.

Those attending can do so through the Kinane Stand (commonly called the Old Stand) turnstiles at the Bohernanave Chuirch side of the ground as the other side will not be open for spectators.

This is because of a major event that is going ahead on Saturday the 26th at the Ryan Stand (new stand side). The new stand area will not be ready for the public to enter the venue by Sunday.

The matches taking place on Sunday are Borris Ileigh versus Thurles Sarsfields at 2.15pm and then at 4pm it is Loughmore Castleiney against Upperchurch Drombane at 4pm. Both games are part of round 3 in the Tipperary senior hurling championship.
