Blueway

The Clonmel Remembrance Walk will take place on the Blueway on September 10

The Clonmel Remembrance Walk will take place on Sunday September 10 to commemorate World Suicide Prevention Day and this year the theme again is Creating Hope Through Action.

Mass at 12.30pm in Ss Peter and Paul’s Church, Gladstone Street, Clonmel will be celebrated by Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan of Waterford and Lismore.

The walk will begin at 4pm from the Gas House Bridge and will be led by the Mayor of Clonmel Richie Molloy and autism activist and campaigner Cara Darmody and her father Mark Darmody.

It will proceed to Mulcahy Park, walking along the Blueway and stopping at the Tree of Hope on the way for the annual laying of the wreath and the remembrance of names, along with poetry and music.

Groups, clubs and the general public are welcome to attend the Mass or the walk or even both in what will be a great community event. Groups and clubs are welcome to bring their banners.
