Trish Taylor Thompson Dystopian Sunflower
There is a great night's entertainment expected in Terryglass Community Hall for the upcoming Culture Night.
Visual artist Trish Taylor Thompson is delighted to announce the inaugural Sunflowers/Soniashnyk Art Exhibition 2023.
The national flower of Ukraine is the sunflower, Soniashnyk in Ukrainian, a symbol of peace and solidarity.
Featuring both amateur and professional artists from Co. Tipperary, the ‘Sunflowers/Soniashnyk Exhibition’ is an inclusive and integrative initiative to welcome Ukrainian war refugees to the region.
The art exhibition, organised by Tipperary based visual artist Trish Taylor Thompson, will feature close to one hundred works by artists from the county who feel strongly about this initiative - to make the Ukrainian war refugees feel welcome to the area by celebrating the sunflower.
”There is no end to the artistic talent in County Tipperary. From painters to textile makers, photographers to metal workers, the art works on display are inspirational and thought provoking”.
Terryglass welcomes art lovers to view the paintings and artworks on Culture Night and over the weekend. The exhibition runs from Friday 22nd Sept – Sunday 24th September from 4pm until 10pm.
