Tipperary students have qualified for the Certified Irish Angus schools competition

Loreto Clonmel students meet some Irish Angus - Cross calves

The five secondary schools selected as finalists in this year’s Certified Irish Angus schools’ competition were announced at the National Ploughing Championships.

Emma Carey, Katie Butler, Sophie Dennehy and Lucy Kearney from Loreto Secondary School, Clonmel were among the students from schools in Tipperary, Limerick, Westmeath, Laois, and Cavan, who met the Irish Angus-Cross calves they will rear for the first time at the event.
