The programme aims to promote and increase physical activity and sport amongst primary school girls in their local community
There has been a great start to the ICOACHGIRLS Play Centre ten-week programme at the Canon Hayes Recreation Centre in Tipperary Town.
Tipperary Sports Partnership was delighted that Tipperary Town was chosen as one of the six pilots for this programme in Ireland.
This programme aims to promote and increase physical activity and sport amongst primary school girls in their local community.
It is aimed at girls who have never taken part in organised sport or who have tried and dropped out.
On completion of the programme it is hoped that the girls will have discovered an activity/sport that they enjoy to support their continuous involvement.
