Many people have died in car accidents this year
As the number of road deaths continue to rise, Virgin Media News will broadcast a series of special reports this week, talking to families who have tragically lost loved ones on Irish roads.
Virgin Media News Southern Correspondent, Paul Byrne, talks with families whose lives have been torn apart following the death of a loved one in a fatal road accident.
He also meets members of the emergency services who are at the coalface of the crisis on our roads, often having to deliver the most devastating news.
One heartbroken mother whose 15-year-old son was one of six people killed in a crash recalls having to pick out a coffin and purchase a grave for her son.
The mother whose son was killed by a drunk driver tells of her loss and her belief that many motorists are laughing at those who are trying to make our roads a safer place.
The series of special reports will air on Virgin Media News @ 12:30pm 5:30pm & 7pm beginning this Monday 16th October.
