Local county Tipperary cycling club, Black House Racing, has achieved great success both on a provincial and national level over the past two months.
Dermot Radford, Tipperary town, won silver in the National Hill Climb Championships Masters 40 category held in Abbeyfeale, Limerick this month.
On the provincial scene, Dermot also took overall victory in the recent Munster Hill Climb Championships in Mahon Falls, and won the Munster Road Race in Blarney.
Niamh O’Dwyer, Golden, won silver in the elite womens National Hill Climb Championships also, being less than half a second off the national title.
Sean Buckley, Knockavilla, took a fine victory in the Munster Road Race Championships Masters 50 category, and took silver in the Munster Criterium Championships in Patrickswell, Limerick.
Eva Donovan O’Brien, Bansha, sprinted to a bronze podium position in the elite womens Munster Road Race Championships last month.
Eva and Niamh then went on to represent Munster in the prestigious international womens race, Ras na mBan, a six-stage road race based in Kilkenny.
