Peake Villa 6 – 0 Bansha Celtic
Peake Villa entertained Bansha in this league game, a fixture that was reversed the evening before, with the weather playing havoc in a lot of grounds.
The home side were at it from the start and took the lead in the 13th minute when Pippy Carroll was put through behind the Celtic defence and he made no mistake, scoring into the top corner.
They doubled their lead in the 25th minute when Kieren Hennessy reacted quickest to a loose ball in the area, scoring at the back post from close range.
Bansha Celtic had a great chance to pull a goal back ten minutes before the break, but Willie Tierney in the Villa goal was equal to the effort.
Peake had a few good chances before the break to add to their lead but eventually went in two goals to the good.
The second half was just five minutes old when Villa extended their lead when Pippy Carroll and Hennessy combined to put Carroll through, and he made it three.
In the 66th minute Jack Ryan Casey crossed a great ball and Ronan McGuire scored with a diving header to make it four. Carroll secured his hat trick 15 minutes from time when he scored in the bottom corner. It was Carroll who finished off the scoring when Darragh Byrne found Eoin O’Dwyer who played in Carroll ,who scored his fourth and his side’s sixth in the final minutes of the game.

Clonmel Town 1 – 0 Tipperary Town
A Sean Kenny goal early in the second half ensured the home side picked up what could be a crucial three points come season’s end.
In truth it was a deserving win for Clonmel Town but it didn’t come easy against a dogged Tipperary Town side who were competitive throughout the entire 90 minutes.
Clonmel Town thought they had scored sooner but had their goal chalked off for a foul on the Tipperary goalie midway through the first half.
With chances few and far between, it was always going to be a game settled by a single goal and it came early in the second half when Kenny rose highest to head home from a corner kick.
The visitors battled hard for an equaliser but couldn’t create a clear goalscoring opportunity to get anything from this game, played at a cold and wet Dr Pat O’Callaghan Sports Complex.
