Tipperary theatre to host classic Irish play

The Shaughraun comes to the Abymill Theatre in Fethard on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 November

The Shaughraun comes to Abymill theatre  in Fethard on Friday 24th and Sat 25th. Mullinahone is already sold out.
This is a classic Irish play by Dion Bouchicault and is set in 1800s ireland in a small town in sligoncalled Shuilabeg.
Conn the shaughraun is a vagabond a story teller (mostly exaggerated) and is the love of Moya Dolans life.

When he disappears the town wonders where he is and thinks its most likely jail for poaching or drinking or God only knows what. In the meantime a regiment of English soldiers are looking for a local irish rebel named Robert Ffolliott who has escaped penal servitude in Australia and is back in shuilabeg looking for justice.

Lots of action with a big cast in this play with a mix of squires landowners who have lost their households and a few lovely ladies   villains and even a couple of nasty pirate's..
Don't miss it..
