Ballingarry camogie players from various levels who attended the presentation evening, when the club’s achievements of the past year were honoured and celebrated
Ballingarry Camogie Club members were joined by Tipperary senior hurling manager and fellow club man Liam Cahill, along with Tipperary camogie player and All-Star winner Karen Kennedy, at the club’s presentation evening.
Both Liam and Karen had very inspirational messages for all the girls, and spoke about the importance of going to training and keeping friendships within the team.
Every team was acknowledged for their hard work and commitment throughout the year and managers gave a synopsis of how the year evolved for each team.
The presentations started with the Under 8 and Under 10 teams receiving certificates from Karen Kennedy for their great effort at training and matches.
The Under 14, Under 16, Minor and Junior teams were also acknowledged for their valiant efforts throughout the year.
This year the club was lucky to have two victorious county champion teams being acknowledged, the Under 12 Maroon and White teams.
Karen Kennedy presented each player with their county medal, along with a team photo.
Two other awards were presented on the night - Juvenile Player of the Year, which was won by Hannah Shelley; and Senior Player of the Year, which was won by Maria McGrath. Congratulations to both girls.
A new set of jerseys for the juvenile players was also unveiled at the presentation evening and thanks are extended to sponsor Brendan Hickey of Hickey Plumbing Contractors for these.
Ballingarry Camogie Club thanks everyone who helped out in the lead-up to the event and everyone who helped out on the night.
It was great to see a full hall in attendance to celebrate these fantastic achievements.
A great night was enjoyed by all.
