The annual Christmas sale, organised by Marion Landers from Carrickbeg, raised funds for Carrick-on-Suir Meals Assistance Services and the Samaritans in Waterford and the South East.

The sale of delicious home made tray bakes, scones and cakes at a pop-up shop beside the AIB on Main Street last Friday, December 15 was a huge success.

Marion Landers was helped in organising the fundraiser by a team of local volunteers.

The baked goods were donated by local people from Rathgormack, Carrick and surrounding areas, who also sold many raffle tickets for several bumper hampers.

Christmas table settings, assembled by Marion, were also popular and all the goods sold out within a few hours.

The team behind the fundraising drive thanks the public for their tremendous support with special thanks to the local volunteers, who baked, contributed and sold tickets.
