What a busy few days there were last week for St Mary’s Camogie Club in Clonmel.....

The BBC & TG4 are making a documentary on 100 years of camogie and approached the Clonmel club to do a feature on their Camogie set up and how they have developed over the last few years.

Starting with the U10 girls training, the camera crews captured lots of action clips and interviews, shot in the freezing cold. (Well done to all the girls for braving the elements).

Attention then turned  to a fantastic ‘Sports for All’ session with the ‘True Blues' kids showing why they are such an important part of the St. Mary’s Hurling and Camogie Club family.

And if all that wasn't enough, our brilliant Mamógs then trained for an hour and showcased and showboated their skills for the TV cameras. As always there was a lot more laughing than sprinting done. This group has such a very special bond and spirit which is always plain for all to see.

The now greatly-anticipated documentary is due to air in May of this year, and even if the couple of days are condensed into a few seconds it doesn’t matter -it was an amazing day for everyone!
