The Tipperary County Board finally has elected its new Vice Chairman at a specially convened re-vote at the Dome, Thurles on Tuesday night.
Borris-Ileigh's Michael Tierney has been elected to the role, beating off the stiff competition of Roscrea's Mark McLoughlin by a tally of 130 votes to 101.
It finally puts the bed the overdue appointment which had to be delayed after an issue was discovered with the number of voting cards issued to delegates at the Tipperary GAA Convention back in December.
The reconvened vote for the position of County Board Vice Chairman took place this evening in the Dome and resulted as follows:

Mark McLoughlin 101
Michael Tierney 130
Congratulations to Michael and commiserations to Mark.
