The Mater Hospital Foundation is calling on individuals, communities, schools, preschools and businesses across Co. Tipperary to celebrate the Valentine’s season by wearing red this February and hosting their own Big Heart Appeal get-together, to support heart care in the Mater Public Hospital.

There are so many ways for Tipperary people to get involved. Make this a truly memorable Valentine’s Day and raise vital funds for patients with life-threatening heart conditions:

Wear your heart on your sleeve - Throw on your fanciest red attire and get together for a special Galentine’s soirée or host an event and invite all your friends and family to dress up! 

Paint the town red - Host a Big Heart themed breakfast, bake sale or brunch at home, in your workplace or in your school or preschool and invite everyone to join in the fun.

Make a splash for heart care - Do it your own way and help us raise awareness and vital funds to mend broken hearts this February.

Valentine’s Day is on Wednesday, 14th February, but you can hold your own heart-themed event on any day in February that suits you best.

The Mater Hospital’s highly-skilled consultants, doctors, nurses and support teams dedicate themselves to saving lives, providing specialist treatment to people from across the country and keeping hearts beating strong.

When every second counts, state-of-the-art equipment saves lives. The Mater Hospital Foundation’s big-hearted supporters have already made a huge difference for patients by funding advanced life-support equipment for the Intensive Care Unit and supporting the hospital’s Family Heart Screening Clinic.
