South Tipperary community goes to the polls on Monday night with secret ballot election

The Ballylooby Community Council Annual General Meeting on Monday, January 29 at 7.30pm in the Community Hall. All are welcome to attend.

A reminder that the Annual General Meeting on Monday, January 29 at 7.30pm in the Community Hall. All are welcome to attend.


All current officers and committee members are eligible for re-election.

Election of officers will be via secret ballot on the night, with committee members nominated from the floor.


Nominations for the election of officer positions were to be received by the secretary, Fiona Reidy by Monday last, January 22. Any nominations after this date will not be considered.


Please indicate which position(s) you are nominating the person(s) for. Please also ensure that those you nominate have been consulted and agree to it prior to your nomination. Nominees will need to be present at the AGM, unless by prior written arrangement with the committee chair.


The current officer positions are: • Chairperson: Pat Reidy • Vice Chairperson: Richie Summerhayes • Secretary: Fiona Reidy • Assistant Secretary: Caroline Cleary • Treasurer: Michelle Hally • Assistant Treasurer: Shane English • Public Relations Officer: Leanne Cleary • Assistant PRO: Denis Slattery.


Additional current committee members are Ciara Beary, Willie Ryan, Irene O’Dwyer, and Robbie Martin.

A further four committee members are to be nominated from the floor on the night and will not need to be included in the nomination list.
