Racing was called off after the ground became waterlogged.
The seven-race card scheduled for Thurles this afternoon had to be called off due to heavy rainfall overnight forcing the meet to be called off as the track is waterlogged. Met Eireann had forecast snow but that snowfall wasn't an issue at all as the rain was heavy during the night in Thurles and this morning a further 7mm of rain fell on the track.
The action was meant to get underway at 1.20pm but the meeting was called off following an early morning inspection.Cross channel the meeting at Doncaster was called off due to heavy snow while racing at Bangor, scheduled for Friday, has been called off as well due to a waterlogged track.
