We are community dementia champions and facilitators of the monthly Memory Cafe held in Bookworm Bookshop, Liberty Square, Thurles.
We will deliver support group meetings for caregivers, every Thursday in the day hospital within the Community Hospital of the Assumption, Thurles, commencing Thursday, April 11, 2024, and every Thursday, thereafter until May 16, 2024.
Meetings focus on self-care, connecting with feelings, validation therapy/techniques, ethical dilemmas and the importance of medication compliance.
A safe place to discuss, support, listen and understand the different roles played by families/friends of loved ones caring for people living with dementia.
