National Camogie League sponsors, Very, were joined by 10 intercounty Camogie players on Thursday last to launch the 2024 Very Camogie League Finals this weekend.

The first three finals are scheduled for Saturday, April 13th, while the 1A and 2A finals will be held on Sunday, April 14th at Croke Park. Taking part were Galway’s Aine Keane, Tipperary’s Karen Kennedy, Derry’s Aoife Ní Chaiside, Westmeath’s Aoife O’Malley, Wexford’s Kate Kirwan, Dublin’s Aisling Maher, Laois’ Liadan C Fennell, Armagh’s Leanne Donnelly, Wicklow’s Casey Kelly and Tyrone’s Siobhan Donnelly.

This Sunday features a historic triple-header at Croke Park, with the Very Camogie League Finals and Leinster GAA Football Quarter Final taking place simultaneously. It is the first time in history that both events will occur on the same day at GAA Headquarters.

Very aims to fill the stands with enthusiastic supporters, urging all to join in at the Croke Park finals this weekend to cheer for their county, soak in the thrilling atmosphere, and enjoy a fantastic family outing.

2024 signifies the 8th year of Very's title sponsorship, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to enhancing the game's visibility and supporting its players through continued investment and focus.

Recognising that Camogie extends beyond mere sport, Very acknowledges its significance in weaving together the social tapestry of communities across Ireland. Very has championed Camogie throughout its 8-year tenure as the title sponsor of the Very Camogie Leagues, striving to increase visibility for fans and players alike.

Karen Kennedy of Tipperary said,“We are all really looking forward to Sunday and just focusing on getting a good team performance. We had a bit of a slow start to the Very Leagues, but have been working to improve each game and hopefully will continue that on Sunday.”

Galway captain Aine Keane said, “We are really looking forward to Sunday's Very Camogie League final, but also it being a part of a historic day for the Camogie Association and GAA. We have integrated new players into the squad and have trained hard for the past few weeks, so looking forward to Sunday now.”

The Camogie Association has recently unveiled a new Strategy with the goal of increasing attendance at Camogie events by 20% by 2026.

We urge fans, supporters, families, friends, and clubs to come out in full force to cheer on their county teams this weekend. We also call on GAA and Ladies Gaelic Football fans to show their support as we strive towards a more integrated Association in the future.
