The Maria Marron Palmers Hill Stud West Junior B Hurling League encounter between Clonoulty Rossmore and Cashel King Cormacs was played last Sunday afternoon.
Clonoulty/Rossmore got off the mark when they overcame Cashel in this rearranged Round 2 game at Dillon Quirke GAA Grounds on Sunday morning.
Played in brilliant conditions, the home side had the better of the opening half, and particularly the ten minutes before break where they hit four points without reply, to lead 0.10 to 0.6 at half time.
Three second half goals, the first two minutes after the restart by Alex Carroll, the second coming from Seamus Kennedy and the third seven minutes from time from Stephen Kearney killed off the visitors challenge, who had Stephen Gleeson at full back and Ross Minogue at centre back in fine form throughout.
The home side were able to use their bench coming down the home straight and the fresh legs were a contributing factor in this victory.
