Clonoulty Rossmore honoured one of their club legends, Tony Brennan, last Wednesday evening in a brilliant ceremony attended by a large crowd from the local community.
Brennan's family was in attendance to unveil the beautiful mural, honouring the four-time All-Ireland medallist who is regarded as one of the best players the county has ever produced.
Active with Clonoulty Rossmore and Tipperary in the 1940s and 1950s won four All-Irelands, four Munsters, and three National Hurling League crowns with the Premier hurlers, and he was posthumously honoured in 2000 when he was named in the full-back position on the Tipperary Hurling Team of the Century.
Wonderful to be joined by the Brennan family last night along with a huge local turnout as we remembered the great Tony Brennan, 4 time All-Ireland winner from the 1940s and 50s. Tony died tragically in 1965, but his legacy lives on.....1/2 pic.twitter.com/NzsqgsK5nC
