Tipperary Council proposes closing several roads to facilitate Quest Lough Derg event

The public have until August 29 to lodge an objection to the proposed temporary road closures

Tipperary County Council has given notice that it proposes to temporarily close a number of roads in the Ballina area on September 21 to facilitate Quest Lough Derg 2024

The roads the Council proposes to close include:

  1. The L-6090-0 Lakeshore Drive, Ballina, including parking spaces adjacent to Flanagan’s on the Lake from 6am to 6pm on Saturday, September 21. Full access to the Lakeside hotel will be available via the L-6090-0 from 11.00hrs onwards from the R494-31.

2: Graves of the Leinster Men, Ballina .Road from Derrybeg to Cloneybrien to Cooneen.

L6036-0, L2136-26, L2136-0 and the L2136-10 and the L2136-21 from 6am to 1pm on Saturday, September 21. There will be an alternative route via the Grange Road / Curraghvilla the L2130-0/15 or Legane / Killary the L6035-0 / 18 or Cloneybrien the L6038-0.

Objections to the proposed temporary closure may be submitted in writing to Road Closures, Roads & Transportation, Tipperary County Council, Civic Offices, Limerick Road, Nenagh not later than 12 noon on Thursday, August 29 or by e-mail to roadclosures@tipperarycoco.ie
