Overgrowth in Tipperary river causing concern

A Tipperary Town public representative has made representations to Tipperary county council concerning the overgrowth in the River Ara.
"I've contacted Tipperary County Council and Local Authority Waters Programme in relation to the overgrowth in the River Ara.
"I have asked them to investigate and look at what measures need to be taken. I did the same thing about 2 years ago and the river bank in certain sections was cut back.
"It's more to investigate how is it impacting on the fish as well as river's appearance," said Cllr Annemarie Ryan.
