Thurles-based business Ryans Cleaning has won the prestigious 'Most Sustainable Family Business' award at this year’s Family Business Awards.
Held on Friday, November 8th, at Crowne Plaza Blanchardstown in Dublin, the event brought together 400 representatives from top family businesses across Ireland.
This year, the popular 'Most Sustainable Family Business' category, sponsored by Down2Earth, featured sixteen finalists from counties spanning Kerry to Cavan.
The Irish Family Business Awards celebrate excellence among family-run businesses of all sizes in Ireland, from SMEs to multinational corporations.
Each business is led by family members with a shared commitment to delivering high-quality services and products to their communities.
Ryans Cleaning, headquartered in Thurles with offices in Dublin and London, leads the event cleaning industry across Ireland and the UK.
The company employs 120 full- and part-time staff, along with up to 1,000 seasonal contractors during peak periods, specializing in cleaning and waste management for major events, including music festivals and sports venues.
Some of their Irish clients include Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin Zoo, 3 Arena, Electric Picnic, and The Ploughing Championships, along with well-known sporting venues like Croke Park and several racecourses.
Their UK work includes high-profile events such as British Summer Time at Hyde Park in London, Reading & Leeds Festivals, and Latitude Festival.
