Local Tipperary town gears up for special Christmas choir evening

With just over a week to go before Roscrea Community Choir's 'Christmas Celebration' concert on Saturday, November 30, the excitement is palpable as last minute preparations are in full force for what promises to be a cultural highlight of the Christmas season in Roscrea.

The show will take place in St Cronin's Catholic Church, Abbey Street, with doors opening at 7:30pm.

With an assembled hugely talented orchestra of around 30 musicians, under the guidance of our MD William Cullagh and lead by Anne Phelan of the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, it includes among its artists the professor of Oboe at the RIAM, Ruby Ashley, and Laoise Kennedy under 18 All-Ireland fiddle champion, to name but a few.

Other wonderful guest artists include the enchanting Soprano Yvonne O'Toole, fresh from her Disney themed concert in Birr and the VOICE Academy pupils by Yvonne O'Toole and the 'Les Miserables Group ' from the Cistercian College Roscrea who graced the stage in the 100th anniversary of productions from November 18 to 21.

Tickets are available at the door on the night for €20.

Tickets are also available in the St.Cronan's Catholic Church shop after masses, through Choir members and by contacting roscreacommunitychoirpro@gmail.com.
