The stakes are high this Sunday as Tipperary and Galway take the field to secure the points at the start of a league campaign like no other in recent seasons.

This year relegation will be an issue for two of the teams in the division so getting points onboard early will be of paramount importance.

Colm Lyons was in charge when Tipperary played Galway last February in FBD Semple Stadium when the home side ran out five point winners on a 1-26 to 0-24 scoreline and this weekend he will take charge of the opening NHL game for both sides.

The game is set to get underway on Sunday afternoon in Salthill at 3.45pm (January 26th).
