Tidy Towns event was a huge success.
Cashel Tidy Town volunteers started back after the Christmas break in January but with the poor weather from frost to snow and high winds it has been difficult to do a lot of maintenance work, litter picking is an on going thing and remains a constant problem.
Last Saturday Cashel Tidy town team was invited to TUS campus Thurles to meet with members from each of the 81 Tidy town towns and villages that represent County Tipperary.
It was a very interesting event and along with tremendous amount of information, it was also a chance to meet with many other volunteers and learn and help from each other.
Denis Heffernan Emly Tidy Town gave everyone some very useful information and advice as well as a lovely poem. We would like to thank the catering team for the fabulous food provided and also Fiona Crotty of the Community Team TCC.
Also Roisin O Grady Heritage Officer TCC, Ann Marie Fleming Biodiversity Officer TCC, Ruth Smith Tipperary PPN, Fran Igoe LAWPRO, Sara Bourke STDC and Mary MacMahon Tipperary Age Friendly for giving so much information in a well organised manner.
