Two County Tipperary MACE stores have been honoured for their outstanding commitment to retail excellence at the recent MACE Excellence Awards.
The prestigious event, hosted by BWG Foods, the company behind the MACE brand in Ireland, took place at Lawlor’s Hotel in Naas, Co. Kildare.
The Two Tipperary stores proudly received this top industry recognition Drohan’s MACE Loughnafulla in Thurles, owned by Walter and Monica Drohan, and Ryan’s MACE Moneydass in Ballycahill, owned by Mairead and Noel Ryan.

Both stores play a vital role in their local communities, offering high-quality service and retail excellence to their customers.
The MACE Excellence Awards, held in association with Solution Management Associates (SMA), are only awarded to stores that meet exceptionally high retail standards.
To qualify, stores must pass a rigorous year-long inspection process, including two unannounced audits, an SMA audit, and a BWG Foods Safety audit in partnership with the globally recognised Assurance Partner, LRQA.
Congratulating the winners, Keith Crawford, MACE Sales Director, stated: “As Ireland’s longest-serving convenience symbol brand, MACE retailers have a deep-rooted commitment to delivering outstanding service and retail standards.
"The winners of this year’s awards continue to raise the bar for the brand and the industry. Huge congratulations to Walter and Monica Drohan, as well as Mairead and Noel Ryan, for their dedication to their communities and their customers.”
MACE has a strong presence in communities across Ireland, with over 155 stores nationwide, including a significant footprint in Tipperary.
These stores are independently owned and operated, ensuring local customers receive personalised service alongside the high standards that MACE is known for.
This recognition highlights the commitment of Tipperary’s retailers to delivering top-quality service, making a significant impact on local shopping experiences.
