Stay safe when out celebrating this evening!

Gardaí seize car from unaccompanied driver in Thurles

With hurling fans departing from Croke Park and Dublin this evening after Tipperary's All-Ireland win, Gardaí around the country have issued a warning to drivers headed home.

An Garda Síochána Kilkenny wrote: "Remember any fans driving through Kilkenny on their way home from Croke Park that a Speeding ticket is 3 points and you can get more than one ticket in 35 minutes. Well done to our Neighbours in the Premier County but drive carefully as you have got enough points already today!!"

Be careful if you're on your way home and celebrate in safety!
