Councillor Declan Burgess broke the news on his socials.

“Great news for Kilfeacle Village, €30,000 has been allocated today for safety works in the village.”

“This is a very welcome step forward. I have previously been on site with the hall committee, tennis club and rugby club, and I’ve been working hard behind the scenes to progress this project and highlight the need for improved safety measures.”

“Given the busy nature of the N74 through the village, improving safety for residents, road users and local groups remains a priority for me. While this funding is an important start, there is more to be done.”

“I will continue to advocate strongly for this project and will be seeking further consultation with local groups and residents as plans develop. Working together is key to getting this right for Kilfeacle.”

“Thank you to our area engineers for working with me on this project. I’ll keep you updated.”
