Bodie and Petra
Bodie and Petra were found straying, possibly dumped, a short distance apart from each other. They were taken to safety to the pound where they were found to have no microchips to help reunite them with their owners if they had got out by mistake and were lost and separated from each other. We think Bodie, being the older dog, is Petra’s father, as the two dogs are very similar to each other in appearance, it looked like they recognised each other when they were first introduced and both were found in the same location.
Bodie is 2 ½ to 3 years old. He is a very timid, nervous dog who is finding it difficult to settle in at the kennels. He is stressed at times by the noise of the other dogs and frightens easily. Bodie walks well on his lead and with a little socialisation we’re sure he will learn to cope with having other dogs in his company again. We would love to see him find a home soon as life at the kennels has been very stressful for him.
Petra is about 18 months old. She has a longer coat than Bodie but other than that Petra is quite similar in appearance to him. She is a young dog, eager to learn and will be very easy to train and adapt to a new life. Unlike Bodie, Petra has settled into kennel life rather well. She loves the attention of visitors and adores the company of other dogs. She has been well socialised with other dogs and gets along with her kennel mates making her suitable for a home with other dogs.
Bodie and Petra may have had a rough start with how they ended up at the kennels but we’re sure they will find their forever homes and the fresh start that they both deserve. A family that will help Bodie regain his confidence and help him forget his fears and a family that will give Petra all the attention and cuddles she so desperately wants.
