Two Tipperary men achieved a feat few people get to experience, when they reached the base camp of the biggest mountain in the world last Thursday.
Johnny and Denis Tierney of Cappawhite reached the camp after an arduous trek of eight days, in which they endured harsh conditions on the Nepalese mountain.
The duo are former hurlers with Cappawhite and have since made their descent down from base camp.
