Clonmel Rotary Club president Paul Davey with celebrity chefs Dermot Dougan and Aisling O’Donovan, who will take part in a gala cook-off to aid local charities in Raheen House Hotel next Friday
A well-known Clonmel businessman and the Tipperary Rose of Tralee will battle it out in a celebrity chef event in Clonmel next week.
Organised by Clonmel Rotary Club, the gala cook-off will aid two local charities.
The cook-off in Raheen House Hotel on Friday, December 2, will have a real Christmas feel with a fabulous three course meal, music, spot prizes and festive hampers to be won.
Donning the aprons to test their culinary skills will be Clonmel businessman Dermot Dougan and this year’s Tipperary representative in the Rose of Tralee, Aisling O’Donovan.
Rotary president Paul Davey paid tribute to the two amateur chefs for taking part and aiding vital charities.
Benefiting from proceeds from the gala Christmas event will be Clonmel Soup Kitchen and Clonmel Meals on Wheels.
Tickets for the event have been selling well and a great turnout is expected at Raheen House.
It runs from 7.30pm until late.
