The Long Way Round 15km South Eastern Mountain Rescue Ireland mountain run/walk started in the dark just after 6 pm on Saturday last, November 26.
The race with well over 600 went around Clonmel and the north western Comeragh Mountains.
Eugene O’Keeffe ran very well on the rugged hilly course to finish the 15km first in 1:08:06
THE GREAT GLENVILLE RUN 4 MILE ROAD RACE
Organised and hosted by Watergrasshill AC, in conjunction with Glenville GAA Club, Glenville, Co. Cork, Sunday last, November 27.
In a four mile race of almost 300 runners, well done to the Carrick AC athletes: Eugene O’Keeffe in 31st place in 24:09; Keith Fraher in 32nd place 24:15.
The race winners were: Gavin O’Rourke Leevale AC 20:11 and Aoife Cooke Eagle AC 21:28.
