A new era dawns for the Stanwix Home, Thurles
The works on the Stanwix Village, Kickham Street, Thurles are now substantially complete.
And, Thurles Lions Club in conjunction with Thurles Lions Trust Housing Association are hosting two open days for the public on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 December next between 11am and 3pm in advance of the 19 new residents taking up occupation.
Come visit the homes and see the renovations and expansion works undertaken on these much-loved homes first opened in 1889.
Note that as the work on the Director’s House is still on-going it will not be open. Also, there will be no parking available on site and will be restricted to drop-off/pick up only for elderly or persons with disabilities.
