WARNING: Irish parents urged to cease use of toy gun due to risk of puncture wounds

Irish parents who bought a toy gun online are being urged to discontinue use immediately due to a major safety concern.

According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), a safety issue has been identified with the Senye Army Combat Max Gun sold on Amazon, whereby the toy may allow sharp objects to be placed into the chamber and fired.

This would reportedly make the object able to penetrate the skin if the user or a third party was hit, causing injuries.

The product (model number SY007, Amazon ASIN B07GT5XQ84) was sold online through Amazon.

There are approximately 76 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

You may wish to contact Amazon to see if there are any remedies available to you; this can be done via your user account on Amazon.
