Two people have been arrested as part of the investigation into the murder of 61-year-old Michael Foley, who was found deceased at his home in Macroom
Earlier this Wednesday, February 14, 2024, a male and a female, both aged in their 30s, were arrested in Cork city, and they are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in Co Cork.
Michael 'Mickey' Foley was found at a residence in Annville in Barrett’s Place, Macroom, Co Cork, at approximately 1pm on Tuesday, February 6.
Mr Foley’s younger brother, Timmy, was also murdered in 2018. Timmy's body was found by Gardaí in a pool of blood in a bungalow in Macroom, having been stabbed 28 times by his ex-wife, Rita O'Driscoll.
