'Enormous golden showers' - PBP TD makes embarrassing mistake addressing journalists
People Before Profit TD Richard Boyd Barrett made an embarrassing blunder today when he accused RTÉ executives of receiving "enormous golden showers".
Boyd Barret was speaking to a group of journalists in front of Leinster House this morning when he said ordinary people who pay their TV licenses and taxes have to watch top executives walk away with enormous golden handshakes and golden showers.

Upon realising his mistake, he quickly laughed and apologised saying "you can cut that bit if you want", adding the RTÉ executives were being showered with gold.
The PBP TD for Dun Laoghaire was addressing the latest scandal surrounding RTÉ, as he voiced a lack of confidence in Media Minister Catherine Martin and the Government.
