Investigations ongoing into petrol bomb attack in Dublin chipper

Investigations are ongoing

Gardaí are currently investigating a fire bomb attack in Dublin as a video emerged of a hooded male throwing the bomb at a worker in a chipper in Walkinstown.

The frightening footage shows the person walking towards the chipper with the bottle behind his back, he then proceeds light the material attached to the bottle and runs into the chipper.

He then throws the bottle at a worker behind the counter in the chipper and runs back out.

Luckily, the worker ducked and escaped any injury from the attack.

A Garda spokesperson has said,

"Gardaí are investigating an incident of criminal damage by fire that occurred at a shop in Walkinstown, Co. Dublin on the 19th of March 2024 at approximately 8pm.

"No injuries have been reported at this time and no arrests have been made.

"Investigations are ongoing."
