A risk of amputation has prompted the immediate recall of mirrored bathroom cabinets sold in Ireland.
According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), B&Q Ireland Ltd is recalling faulty Cooke & Lewis Lesina Mirrored Cabinets due to a major safety concern.
The bonding of the mirror glass to the door panel may fail, causing the mirror to detach and fall resulting in glass shards. This can cause injuries including cuts, lacerations and possible amputation.
The barcode of the affected product is 5397007165494.
It was available to purchase between January 2020 and February 2024, and there are approximately 466 affected products in Ireland.
If you purchased one of these products during the time period above, please stop using it immediately.
Remove from the wall with care and return to your local B&Q store for a full refund.
B&Q will provide a safe removal guide on their recall page. Should you have any concerns in respect of removing the cabinet or require any further advice, please contact the B&Q helpline at 1800 946 327 (Monday to Friday 8.30am–8pm, Saturday 9am–5pm and Sunday 10am–4pm)
